$200 Cash Reward

Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card offers a $200 cash rewards bonus to its users too. To qualify for it, you will have to spend $1,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of using the card.

This 200-dollar bonus is a nice perk for beginners who are only using this card to pay everyday bills.

Another great benefit of using Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card is that you don’t have to pay an annual fee.

This is a major advantage of Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card over other credit cards, as they can charge hundreds of dollars in annual fees.

Basically, you can use this card and get all the reward perks without worrying about paying any additional fee.

Phone Insurance

Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card comes with cell phone protection, which can provide up to $600 in coverage against damage to your phone or theft of your phone.

Why You Shouldn’t Choose Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card As Your Credit Card

Yes, till now, because of all the rewards Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card might seem like a great card to have, but there are some potential drawbacks you need to look for before getting this card.

No Signup Bonus

Most credit cards offer a signup bonus to their customers, you get the card, and they give you a signup bonus of up to $200, but that isn’t the case with Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card.

You don’t get any initial signup bonus and have to spend $1000 in first 3 months to get a $200 cash reward.

High Variable APR Rate

While Wells Fargo Active Cash® card does offer a 0% intro APR for 15 months on purchases but after 15 month period, there is a high variable APR rate on this card.

The APR rate can range from 14.99% to 24.99%, which can be quite high for a beginner.

Competitors of Wells Fargo Active Cash Card

Wells Fargo Active Cash Card has a lot of competitors in the market. Each and every one of them has its strong and weak points, so it’s up to you to decide which card helps you the best in prioritizing your needs.

Here is a list of one of the best competitors of The Wells Fargo Active Cash Card.

Chase Freedom Unlimited®:

Chase Freedom Unlimited® card offers 5% cashback on travel purchases, 3% on dining, and 1.5% cashback on all other purchases you will make using it. It also offers a $200 cashback bonus if you spend $500 in the first 3 months and a 0% intro APR for 15 months on purchases (then a variable APR of 14.99% – 23.74%).

Citi® Double Cash Card

Final Thoughts

.In the end, the question stands, Is Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card worth it?

It all depends on your preference. It offers you 2 % cash back on all the purchases you’ll make, you can use it for spending without any worries as its APR is 0% for the first 15 months, and you don’t have to pay any annual fee at all, so you basically get this card for free.

But, when it comes to other cards, Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card doesn’t seem like a good choice.

I mean, take example of the Chase freedom unlimited card, you get different cashback for purchasing different things, and you only have to spend $500 in first 3 months to get the $200 bonus, while Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card makes you spend $1000.

In my opinion, there are way better cards than Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card, but if you don’t know where you’ll spend money and only need the card for everyday purchases, then 2% cashback of Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card seems like a good choice.
